Role Overview
The Account Manager at McKay Advertising serves as the pivotal link between our clients and our media department. This role demands a high level of understanding of the digital marketing landscape, combined with proven expertise in growing accounts and driving new business. You must be organized, timely, proactive, and have a keen interest in organization and process implementation.
Responsibilities
Client Management – 80%
- Facilitate meetings with clients to nurture relationships and understand their objectives and advertising budgets.
- Ensure smooth execution of projects by coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Actively manage multiple accounts, keeping clients updated on campaign progress and data-driven insights.
- Lead the client onboarding process and identify areas for increased account responsibilities.
- Work in tandem with internal teams to respond to RFPs and develop winning proposals.
- Recognize any changes in scope and coordinate with the Account Director for appropriate action.
Business Development – 20%
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of McKay’s services, the competitive landscape, and emerging industry trends.
- Own the end-to-end sales process, from lead prospecting to account activation.
- Develop and implement personal sales strategies to exceed sales goals.
- Leverage tools like Salesforce and Pardot for lead nurturing and drip campaigns.
- Utilize research tools like Seamless.ai for client prospecting and making outbound calls.

Preferred Skills & Experience
- 5-7 years of experience in a similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Data Analytics, or Communications.
- Understanding of the customer journey and marketing funnels.
- Experience with CRM systems and lead nurturing.
- Ability to craft marketing messaging for targeted audiences.
- Prior experience in managing client relationships is a plus.

- Competitive salary: $70,000 per annum, with performance bonuses up to $25,000 – $45,000.
