The first adoption becomes a consumer habit. You can’t “un- ring” the convenience bell once the consumer adopts a process of accessing products and services through online means. It is so intuitive these days and easy.Alex Andrews

In other iOS 14 news, LinkedIn announces it’s pausing collection of identifying data in response to the update.  This will impact conversion tracking on LinkedIn like other ad platforms, but LinkedIn is perhaps less affected on the targeting side because they never relied as much on tracking engagement and “affinity/interest” targeting.  For them, it’s much more about self-identified professional information like job titles, company size, years of experience, etc.  So while measurement will be trouble, LinkedIn’s targeting will still be A-OK for B2B advertisers.

Former Google co-founder is creating an ad-free alternative to Google, which will run on a subscription service of anywhere from 5-$10 per month. The engine called Neeva is going back to the basics of what search engines were originally intended for, and could potentially be a big player in gaining search traffic over time.
