With TikTok’s threat ever-looming, Snapchat is coming out of the 1st quarter with glowing news.  Their new feature which more directly rivals TikTok’s content style, Spotlight, acquired 125 million early viewers and its revenue grew to $770 million.  It goes to show that even as competition emerges, social platforms can continue to grow with a concerted effort on improving their advertising infrastructure.

Microsoft Advertising Partner Summit has announced some big innovations for its platform, including a video ad format for its audience network, marking the first time that video ad formats will be available in this landscape. While this is intriguing, the bigger news coming out from Microsoft is that they are creating an import from the Facebook feature, similar to what is already in place for Google import. “This new import feature allows you to pull over campaign structure from Facebook into Microsoft Advertising. You’ll be able to import audience targets where they align with Microsoft sets and bring over creative like images and body copy.”
