In another controversy that results in removed targeting, now all interest, affinity, and behavioral targeting for teens under 18 is banned in Facebook ads. This is motivated by a scare where in Australia, some advertisers were apparently able to market alcohol ads to teens.  Also, the news about an upcoming Instagram Kids social platform increases urgency among parents to make sure their kids aren’t tracked or targeted.

Google is sunsetting some of their original automated bid strategies, and accounts will have to begin to updated these bid strategies to their new versions such as Maximize Conversions with a set target CPA as well as Maximize Conversion Value with a target ROAS. The transition appears to be seamless for all existing campaigns.
